Review: Wanting It All: The Passion Series, Book One

Wanting It All: The Passion Series, Book One
Wanting It All: The Passion Series, Book One by Livia Grant

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Brianna is married to Markus but she longs for more. Markus longs for more but knowing his wife's past abuse he doesn't want to bring it up. And this is the set up for the rest of the book.

Wow just wow. This story packs an emotional punch. At first it seems so harsh. Then your made a Bri for messing up a good marriage. Then Jake for being a jerk. Then you move on to being sorry for Bri at the drastic way Markus reacts. Then confused comes into play. Finally, you just wish all of them the best. Love the side characters as well. It's been a while since a book has drawn me in so completely.

Review: Homecoming

Homecoming
Homecoming by Maggie Ryan

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the ongoing story of Lucas and Lucy. They arrive at the family home where Lucas is sure everything will be just fine. There are parts of this story that seemed at bit sever even for the genre but yet the love of this couple for each other shines through. I was excited to see that when Lucas realizes he made some mistakes he's willing to admit what he did that was wrong. I also love the new characters that were introduced and look forward to the next book in this series.

Review: Pleasing Her: Peter in the Nursery

Pleasing Her: Peter in the Nursery
Pleasing Her: Peter in the Nursery by Victoria Winters

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A very powerful story. We see Peter who is about to inherit the title and he really isn't ready to take on the role. He is struggling with his own natural submission. The along comes Rosalind who is ready to help him train for his role. I love the fluidness of Peter that as he "grows up" he learns to relax into his nature submission but still be able to take charge and care for his in charge wife.

Review: Sophie's Way

Sophie's Way
Sophie's Way by Amanda Dashwood

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sophia's friend draws her toward what she has craved. She finds what she thinks she really wants but yet she realizes she desires more. It comes to the point where she has to be strong enough to walk away from part of it to have the chance to gain all of it.

It was fascinating to watch her crave more and learn more about herself. It was great that she was aware enough to know ultimately what she really wanted. Then she had to be strong enough to go for it.

Simple Gifts
Simple Gifts by Anastasia Vitsky

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A very beautiful story of friendship and caring. Leila has worn herself out for the sake of her art and needs to recover. Carene has to put pressure on her to behave. You have the feeling that their relationship is shifting and there is a hint of more but the focus is on the nurturing relationship that is so special to both of these woman. Many of the chapter titles include pieces of music. While reading the book I took time to listen to each of the pieces which added even more to the story.

Review: Unlikely Heroes: Three Novellas

Unlikely Heroes: Three Novellas
Unlikely Heroes: Three Novellas by Courage Knight

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a great collection of stories. Each one looks at a different relationship between ordinary people. Not flashy cars or money being thrown around just regular people who are in a relationship. All three stories show strong loving men who care about the women in their lives. One story features a couple that are moving from friendship and co-workers to being a couple. Another story exams what happens when strangers meet and find something in each other that they need. And there is an established married couple that are still working together to make sure they are both the best they can be.
