Review: A Very Holland Valentine

A Very Holland Valentine A Very Holland Valentine by Toni Griffin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was disappointed when this series disappeared due to publisher implosion so I was excited to find this new chapter in the lives of the Holland Brothers. It was worth the wait and I'm so happy to be able to catch up with them and find out how things are going. Great addition and a much better wrap up than expected.

Cimmy is lost and adrift in her own time. She knows she needs something different but really doesn't know what to do next with her life. Her cousin's gift is giving her a taste of an era gone by. But make believe turns into reality along with one dominate man in the form of Jude. She is brought home in ways she doesn't expect. Jude is not afraid to to be strong and deliver what she needs. Also, I just love the cover on this book, it's just perfect.

Dillinger and Brad - I like that this story has no rushing but there are some strong nudges in the direction of the desired results. Favorite quote "I've had my tongue in your ass boy, how much more personal can this be?"

Review: End of the Line

End of the Line End of the Line by Sean Michael
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reread this with new edition and have moved it up to a solid 4. 10/15/15

Actually more like 3.5

No matter the sexual orientation of the characters I really enjoying reading a story where the characters are a bit older. Sam has been out of the military for a couple of years and has never really had a relationship before. Chance is a small town guy who has been heading out of town for hook ups. When Chance gives Sam a job and a place to stay the dance begins. Each guy is interested in what he sees but both have been used to keeping things close to the chest for fear of retribution. It is fun to see the friendship develop and the guys get braver as the story progresses. The story seems to develop at a good pace that makes the story both fun and believable.

Charlotte and Clayton - She reaches a special place in Clayton's heart almost from the beginning. But in trying to give her choices so she doesn't feel pressured he almost creates the opposite effect. Because he isn't communicating her feelings it feeds her fears and insecurities. But she slowly learns her worth and I loved all the little special things he does for her and how his friends also reach out to show their care for Charlotte. Finally, he realizes he can move forward and declare his feelings so they can move forward and assure that both of them have the very best in life.

Review: Bailey's Little Adventure

Bailey's Little Adventure Bailey's Little Adventure by Summer Graystone
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Bailey and Ian. There is a fluidness to their relationship and how they interact with each other. They seem to be able to communicate their needs as they seems to move from more traditional BDSM to more of a teenage age-play. But when communication breaks down things go off track really fast. But they seem to be able to refocus and get their relationship back on track.

Ryder and Megan - If you haven't read the rest of the series you can read this one on it's own but it's a great addition if you have read the series. Ryder is hurting but a mission to protect bring him purpose. It also bring him Megan who is perfectly suited to meet all of his needs. We get to see all the different sides of these characters both their weaknesses and their strengths. Loved seeing them bring out the best in each other.
