Review: Axel's Pup

Axel's Pup Axel's Pup by Kim Dare
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is an intense story with so much going on. There is lots of action but the heart shines through. Kim has built a very interesting world where misunderstanding has effected a whole class of people and it's interesting to see this prejudice play out.

Review: A Fortunate Blizzard

A Fortunate Blizzard A Fortunate Blizzard by L.C. Chase
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ever since my mother started reading me a "Bird's Christmas Carol" every year at Christmas during my childhood I have never taken for the granted that a sick main character will have a happy ending. So I started this book with no expected outcome. This is a sweet but tear provoking story. To watch Marcus who seems to have it all struggle to learn to live again and to see him grow and give after his encounter with Trevor is the stuff Christmas classics are made of.
