Well here is the drop for this month's Coastal Magic Reviews

Sweet Last Drop (Night Blood, #2)Sweet Last Drop by Melody Johnson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cassidy is out of the city but not out of danger. And now she seems connected to some ghastly murders. Meanwhile Dominic is trying to forge an alliance for his upcoming leveling. This is not my go to story. There seems to be a lot of death and sadness surrounding all of the characters. But if you crave tales of vampires and intrigue you will enjoy this well written story. It is the second in a series that must be read in order. #CMCon27

Bridget is still seeing dead people and helping them move on. But come her birthday she’ll be able to put it all behind her. I loved the touching scene when Bridget lets go of Valerie and finally grieves. As you can expect things don’t go as planned with Bridget. This book is full of so much action and danger. Things will never be the same. This one kept me on the edge of my seat. #CMCon27

Landry is starting with a new team. And when they need a new quarterback they call in Riley who is the little brother of his best friend. He also happens Landry also seems to be confused about how he feelings for all grown up Riley. I really like the dramatic scene on the field near the end of the book. You can feel everyone’s emotions. This is a great romance that also includes things other than just the couple. I really loved seeing Riley really showing his strengths and Laundry supporting him. #CMCon27

Cat is continuing to work with her team to hunt vampires but things get personal. Back in her hometown is hard. I felt bad for Cat as she get information overload. But she’s strong and does well advocating for herself. This is an action packed story made even better with the dramatic audio version. Cat is one strong lady. #CMCon27

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Two young men who society has marginalized are thrown together for a project to make things better for others and then they end up engaged. All of this against the backdrop of a magical historical London. My favorite part was when Roger and Wyn realize their magic seems to blend together. This book has lots of humor but also the message that not everyone’s worth can be measured by a checklist, nor should it be. This is a heartwarming and magical tale of love. #CMCon27

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Once again Demmy and Cody are getting caught up in a mess with monsters. Things of course go off the rails fast. It was fun to see how rooted Cody and Demmy's relationship seems to be now. This battle is hard fought and there are some near misses along the way. You never know what will come next but the widow’s car will probably be there. #CMCon27

View all my reviews Death of a Wolfman (A Lily Gayle Lambert Mystery, #1)Death of a Wolfman by Susan Boles
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Lily Gayle gets caught up in the death of a mysterious stranger. She just has to help out her cousin the sheriff. I just love the whole cast of characters with their small town southern charm. I like all the little twists in the story and the strange way everything was connected. This was such a fun mystery. #CMCon27

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This time the body is close to home. Poor Olivia is afraid she might be responsible for the man’s murder. It was interesting to find out more about Damien’s history. It was also fun to watch the ghosts helping Olivia investigate. I was really surprised to find out who was actually responsible for the murder. #CMCon27

Tenner is trying to figure out his life. Getting to play a little bit of softball seems like a good place to start. I really loved watching both men realize that there was a relationship worth fighting for. I also like how things work out with Nina. These were two men who really had some hurdles to conquer to work out their new relationship. Both men work not just themselves but to make sure the whole family was fine. Really loved both of these men. #CMCon27

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ruby has a scholarship and a chance at a better life. When she gets sick at work she can’t figure out why. Then she gets attacked and everything goes sideways. I like how strong Ruby is and how she takes things in stride even when Xavier and Axel become involved. This story ends with more questions than answers. There seems to be danger everywhere. #CMCon27
