Getting the year started with reading some books that have been sitting on my TBR. I also am getting a few last minute books in for the Coastal Magic Reading Challenge since I had them sitting on my TBR as well. I might not make it in the top 5 but I'm excited that I read all 77 authors and created some really wonderful book journal pages. Hoping to get some of my journal pages signed but the attending authors. Even if you can't make the full convention the book signing on Saturday is open to the public. For more information check out Coastal Magic Reading Convention. #CMCon26
Pens and Needles by Minerva HoweMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
I really loved the match up between Tim and Lucas. On the surface they appear so different but are well suited to each other. I also like the drama of what is happening with the mayor and his family. Great start to a new series.

A Legend in the Baking by Jamie WesleyMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
I am really enjoying this series. Sloane leaves her job because they pass her over. She gets a lead on a new job but she will need to work with her brother’s store for a shot. August has feelings but a whole lot of water has passed under the bridge. I like the back and forth between Sloane and August as they navigate their feelings and the world of social media. #CMCon26

Stitch Me by K.C. CarmineMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
When I started this story I wasn’t sure how much I was going to like it. Both main characters seem to be rough around the edges in different ways. Also, the both have a lot of baggage. But as the story progresses you get to see what is really behind the characters. Both are strong men who have just what the other man needs.

Suddenly Vivian is back in Dash’s life. She has another murder to solve. In the middle Dash has to deal with a Bobby crisis. Poor Dash! It was fun to watch the chain of events as the mystery unfolded. #CMCon26

Heel by K.M. NeuholdMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
Vale has rescued Adrain when he was living rough but he knew what was right and didn’t take advantage despite an attraction. Adrain is once again having problems and Vale wants to be there for him. It was interesting to Vale deal with his feelings and seeing that the current circumstances is so different from the past.

Christmas Flowers by Sasha SummersMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
I really adore Macon’s story. He was such a great uncle in the first book. His strong protective streak really stands out in this story. I also like how we see Charlotte already thinking about her future with or without Macon. This story has a great mix of humorous and tender moments. A great holiday love story. #CMCon26

Dash and Bobby’s relationship is doing better but Dash still has some adulting to figure out life. Then his parents show up. Of course there is a murder to solve. But I like how you can see both Dash and Bobby understanding themselves better. I also was proud of Dash for naming his feelings out loud. #CMCon26

Wintering with George by Mary CalmesMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
George is meeting Kurt to see his family. But as they arrive at the house it is clear there is a problem. But the drama also helps everyone understand their feelings better. A short but very dramatic chapter in George’s life. #CMCon26

George's Big Day by Mary CalmesMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
I love this final installment in George’s story. While there are a couple of hiccups things smooth out. It was great to see so much love between Kurt and George. #CMCon26
