Review: Watching Over Me

Watching Over Me
Watching Over Me by Joannie Kay

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This story was so much fun. Nadine and David were high school sweet hearts but they both moved on. But through a little meddling set up her Aunt Molly before her death they have a chance to try again. They bond over her Aunt's diaries. It was great to see history through her aunt's eyes and to see what a strong woman she was. And it was great to watch these sweethearts regain their own magic.

Review: His Defiant Wife

His Defiant Wife
His Defiant Wife by Vanessa Brooks

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Linnett and John seem to recover from one crisis only for her to plunge them into another adventure. Linnett doesn't deliberately set out to cause trouble but she doesn't do such a good job at listening and following directions. I like that despite the continued "adventures" she does seem to continue to grow and mature and you can see that while she will always be spirited she will learn to temper it. Her strength will make it possible to survive in the harsher environment of the new world.

Review: Securing It All

Securing It All
Securing It All by Livia Grant

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This books focus on two couples Brianna and Markus who are putting their relationship back on track. And Lucus and Tiffany who are just beginning their relationship journey. This is the second in the Passion series and like the first book this one is full of action and emotion. I was drawn in to these characters and really felt invested in the outcome.

Review: Andre

Andre
Andre by D.J. Manly

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book was part of a package deal I purchased and I don't usually purchase this genre but it is well written and you are drawn into the story of tortured lovers, getting closure, paying back evil, and moving on. Full of strong characters and good descriptions that let you really see and feel all that is happening.

Review: Never The Perfect Moment

Never The Perfect Moment
Never The Perfect Moment by K-lee Klein

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A crisis brings out the true feelings between Bryan and Chrys but neither one seems ready to speak it outloud. I loved watching poor Bryan waiting for the perfect moment to share his feelings. It takes the honest of a child to get the ball rolling.

Crouching Vegan, Hidden Werewolf
Crouching Vegan, Hidden Werewolf by Sean Michael

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

You know when you see the title that this book is going to be fun and it delivers. Erik is in all kinds of closets and Dark is just as determined to drag him up and make him love it. I love seeing even Dark being surprised by his feelings and his dedication to make things best for both of them.

Review: Three Dark Hours

Three Dark Hours
Three Dark Hours by Maggie Carpenter

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Isobel wants to explore her "darker" side and after reading a chapter for work and getting a school assignment it seems to spark not only her imagination but it gives her the chance to try it in real life. I love how Lucy is strong enough to put herself forward but also is able to realize when things aren't the way she wants and she is brave enough to make adjustments. This story takes an honest look at some of the emotional worry and questioning that can occur when you begin to explore who you really are.

Review: Father Charles Takes a Wife

Father Charles Takes a Wife
Father Charles Takes a Wife by Emily Tilton

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Father Charles is the minister in a very usual community. But Laura comes for a visit and seems to fit the community and Father Charles. But as so often happens in real life they both do things that seem to kill the relationship. If they want it to work they both have to be able to come to an understanding. This book was interesting because it explored an interesting mix of bdsm and religion.
