Review: The Senator's Secret

The Senator's Secret The Senator's Secret by K.C. Wells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The amount of trouble people will cause in the name of politics never ceases to amaze me in books and also in real life.

A very innocent moment is turned into something else by those who prefer to hate. But the solution seems to work well for everyone and better than expected. I like how we got to see the nerves and slow burn that gave you a feeling of real.

Review: Isle of Waves

Isle of Waves Isle of Waves by Sue Brown
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

While we focus on one established couple there is plenty of other relationships that are revisited. The whole Owens family has one thing or another going on. There is in the midst of all of this so much love.

Review: Bonded and Bonded 2

Bonded and Bonded 2 Bonded and Bonded 2 by Sara York
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This first story is short and while it has some drama is pretty light. We get a chance to meet Chris, then Greg, and finally Liam. We get to see how their relationship developed into the special triad it becomes. We also get an idea of Liam's troubled past.

But I was not prepared for the explosive chain of events that make up the second book. I like that we get to see that each man brings his own strengths and weakness to the table and that even the "captain" needs help and reassurances. You get a sense that every man is needed for this special family to function.

I love the introduction of Sam but I was a bit worried that it might interfere with the other three. But I need not have worried. I was so relieved when Hudson gets introduced. And these two are a perfect match for each other.

A wonderful, satisfying story where every man gets what he needs.

Review: The Luckiest Master

The Luckiest Master The Luckiest Master by Sean Michael
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sawyer is feeling as if it wasn't for bad luck he would have no luck at all. He hides himself away and denies his own needs with the idea that he is saving someone else from danger.

I love how Master Damien really sees him and also knows how to reach him. Watching the relationship build is a thing of beauty. The moment Damien brings Jude back into the picture show just how much he gets Sawyer, who he is and what he truly needs to move forward in life.

Love these strong and caring men.

Review: Beware Falling Ice

Beware Falling Ice Beware Falling Ice by Tymber Dalton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First I want to say as Florida native who didn't see snow until I was 44 and then it was while spending a week in Norway I can totally get the reaction to snow, winter, and getting warm.

This story was such a funny way to get together and fall in love. While things seem fast paced Rachel and Andrew have been friends and interacting together for awhile. They have both had reasons for not really acknowledging their feelings so things were already simmering on the back burner before the temperature gets turned way down.

It seem like they have to survive so much just to get through their first week together and it kind of reminds me of my first date with my husband where my car got totally after being in a fender bender.

Review: Sapphire's Surrender

Sapphire's Surrender Sapphire's Surrender by Tabitha Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In this addition to the Red Petticoat series we are faced with two main characters who feel they harbor dark secrets and dark desires. Slade is trying to protect Sapphire from hurt and being with someone unworthy. In the process he keeps putting his foot in his mouth and hurting her much worse with his words.

It was fun to see how Slade seems to also bring out the worst in Sapphire. It seems she keeps getting the wrong kind of attention by being in big trouble. But in the exchange they reveal a lot about themselves and it would seem that they are well suited for each other. Then they both have to come to grips with who they are and how they suit each other.
