Review: The Masked Dom

The Masked Dom The Masked Dom by Lexie Clark
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Leesa has been having a hard time after being dumped. Rhett was interested before and now feels that its the time to make a move. With some help from her friend this Dom goes about drawing her on a journey of discovery. I like how he is so gentle and really gives her time to develop feelings and not just react. It was wonderful to see Leesa coming out of her shell.

Review: Melissa and the Medic

Melissa and the Medic Melissa and the Medic by Carole Archer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Melissa is coming to terms with her punishment and is ready to make changes. Jason has come to work at the practice and they seem to be attracted to each other. We see a young woman coming to terms with what turns her on and being open about it. Jason and Melissa seem to be a perfect match. Sometimes the scenes seemed a bit harsh but since Melissa is always turned on by them they must be just what she wants.

Gemstone Gemstone by Anastasia Vitsky
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Gemma and Celine - These two are so suited for each other and have been connecting in a special way online but while Celine knows who she's talking to Gemma doesn't. And in "real" life Celine can't seem to open up and be honest with Gemma. All this leads to them nearly missing out completely on something special. And then when it seems like communication is starting it seems to blow up even worse. I was shedding a few tears when it seemed like they were going to miss out on something so special. Love the car it was perfect.

Review: Ethan in Gold

Ethan in Gold Ethan in Gold by Amy Lane
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another one of Johnnie's guys has to come to terms with himself and his past. Ethan has had life deal him some bad things and working in porn meets one of his most basic needs. But then there is Jonah and he wants something special there. And while he is trying to figure out all the pieces life blows up in his face once again. It is always so powerful to see these strong men deal with their own struggles yet lend support to each other. And the understanding it takes for those from outside that inner circle to understand the brotherhood without it getting in the way.

Devil's Food at Dusk Devil's Food at Dusk by M.J. O'Shea
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Remy and Joe - Remy is settled in his life. I like that you can see that while he isn't wildly happy he does like his life and for the most part knows what he wants. Joe is busy grabbing for the brass ring and doesn't have a clue about what he wants. But when it's really too late we see Joe get a clue to what he wants and in some ways what Remy really wants as well. I love that he is willing to admit he messed up and is will go to great length to repair the damage even if he doesn't get the second chance he's hoping for.

Review: Nowhere Ranch

Nowhere Ranch Nowhere Ranch by Heidi Cullinan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Roe hasn't ever felt "right". And when his family finds out about his orientation that only reinforces this self conception. Because of this he has kept himself closed off and on the move but landing at Nowhere Ranch begins a shift in his life. He has to deal with his feelings and his reactions. Slowly Travis is able to "gentle" him and help him to see that staying is better than going. And Haley is such a wonderful and supportive friend and adds much to the story of these two men. There are ups and downs as they learn to be together and it takes a team effort but the results are beautiful.

Review: The Virgin Betrothals

The Virgin Betrothals The Virgin Betrothals by Victoria Winters
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This story shares the story of three orphaned sisters. Their father had set them up with future husbands from babyhood. When this story opens it seems like such a harsh and unloving scene. The home they are living in seems full of gloom and the people employed in caring for these young ladies seem determined to hurt and humiliate them. When the oldest sister has enough after learning about the upcoming marriages with some help from her sister decides to take off because a life of service has to be better than what she is now facing. And it is at this point that the story does a huge shift. With the shock of this bold act is realized their "uncle" seems to wake up to the reality he has helped create and sets about to make changes. He realizes what is truly important. There is even some humours moments as the sisters get sorted out with the best husbands for them. When love is allowed to grow everyone ends up in the best possible way and happily ever after.

James is conflicted and has walked once from the professor. But after accidently bringing Carson back into his life he feels the draw and the need. But he is also feeling something new and different with Satish and he wants to guard this relationship from the other. With this series I always feel a bit conflicted myself because Carson plays such a close hand you really don't know where he's coming from. And while James may wish for two seperate lives it's not possible completely. The ending leaves everything a bit murcky as to where everyone is headed to.

While this story is maily about Pascle and Harry we also get to interact with Rosie and Jake as well. Harry is drawn to Pascale in ways he has never been drawn to another woman before. Pascle is a wonderful mix of strength and vulnerability with is a perfect match for Harry's dominance and protectiveness. And while there is a lot of drama involving Pascale's past that must be dealt with it is never allowed to take over the story and overshadow the relationship that is forming. It was also fun to see things move in a good directions for Rosie and Jake as well.
