Review: His Omega

His Omega His Omega by A.C. Katt
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This story starts out very dramatically and it continues to be pretty intense. There are so many things going on that it makes it impossible to know who to trust. Sean for his part has suffered one life altering upheaval after another. It is his inner strength that has helped him make it this far. Armand is taken by surprise to realize his dreams are coming true. But they have so much to deal with but loving each other is never in queesiton.

Review: Bound

Bound Bound by S.J.D. Peterson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is an intense story about two strong men. We see them have to battle outside forces but then also deal with their own internal struggles. We also get to see that once again the Guards are there for each other and will always watch out for their own. It isn't always about where you came or even a physical location that makes you part of something larger than yourself. Also as the story unfolds you can see how this can be a positive or a negative and how important your choices can be.

Review: Stormin' Norman

Stormin' Norman Stormin' Norman by Sue Brown
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So I had to spend time traveling in the car today and this was such a fun story to make for a relaxing ride. This story focuses on mainly one character through most of the story. We met him briefly at the end of the last book and was hoping to see him again. Jesse has been a man on a mission for most of his life and even love has taken a back seat. It was so hard to see him struggle as he finally realized some home truths only to find that the object of his love had moved on. This story could have taken a lot of different turns and still provided a very satisfying end to Jesse's story. But I am so happy it went exactly the way it did.

Review: The Duke's Little Concubine

The Duke's Little Concubine The Duke's Little Concubine by Viola Morne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

At first glance this is another historical, spanking, ageplay story which I enjoy reading and was looking forward to reading this one as well. But this story turned out to be so much more. There are many elements common for this genre but there are also lots of surprises and twists in the story.

I don't want to give too much away because the surprises are so much fun to discover. But one big difference in this story than others in the Sophie's strength. She is fallen into despite times but she always moves forward with her eyes open and understanding that action have consequences. She has seen and experienced much more than the average woman which makes her unique. She is also shrewd and while she would love to have love she is also smart enough about life to know that sometimes you need to be practical as well.

Crispin's character is interesting because he is trying so hard to be the stand-off is gentleman he feels he was raised to be. We are as reader allowed to see his confusion about his own feelings.

This was a heartwarming tale that leaves you with enough surprises to make you want to read the story quickly to see what is going to happen next. A very enjoyable reading experience.

Review: Daniel's Mate

Daniel's Mate Daniel's Mate by Lynn Tyler
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have always had a sort of love/hate relationship with this series. There is so much going on just in the lives of the men and the families they are building that all the outside drama seems to get distracting and this story is no different. Love the men involved in this story. Both Daniel and Trevor had been through so much. They have reasons to distrust others even Declan and his wonderful pack. They are busy forming a relationship and dealing with their own lives. So when we have this huge outside threat seems to be almost too much and why this book gets a 4 instead of a 5. But the healing for both Daniel and Trevor is wonderful and it hope that all the loose ends left in this story end up happy endings for the characters involved.

Review: Body Modifications

Body Modifications Body Modifications by Sean Michael
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Another great addition to the series. It is interesting to look at some of the variety that is out there within the context of a story between caring people. Isaac and Aubrey have been together and as the years pass Aubrey is slowing creating a work of art and making Isaac more and more his. For them it is a way to strengthen their relationship and demonstrate the love they have for each other to an even greater degree.

Review: His Sweet Amber

His Sweet Amber His Sweet Amber by Sue Lyndon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Callie has had a great loss and is trying to figure out what to do next. But then circumstances seem to be making the Decisions for her. Lawrence has also suffered great loss and had closed himself off. But something about Cassie calls out to him and he is ready to make some changes.

Callie is a woman brave enough to do what needs to be done to survive. She is smart and practical and has a pretty good idea about what she will need to do to get on with her life. She also doesn't want to cause Lawrence any harm because she is bright enough to realize at some point he will decide he doesn't want to keep himself closed off.

Lawrence is impulsive at first in asking for Callie's hand but you also seem him thinking things through. I also love how he puts Callie's feelings first.

There is some spanking and if but most of it is in fun and you can understand the reasons behind the real punishment. I think this couple has lots of love and happiness in their future.

Review: Short Stay

Short Stay Short Stay by Heidi Cullinan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

When Heidi Cullinan asked her Patreon supports for story suggestions I was torn between which world I would like to see included. Well this story delivers not only my first choice but includes other characters from other worlds of Heidi's creation as well. I don't want to give to much away but this story is awesome and full of so much emotion that half the time you don't know whether to hug or strangle the characters as they dance around their issues.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

So Will and Lawrence meet in the worst possible way with Bob getting hit by the car. But we see these two men connect and Lawrence is kind enough and strong enough to keep fighting for what he hopes to be a great future for both of them. I love the fact that not only does Will end up with a wonderful new relationship but he also learns to expand his world and make new friends. And best of all Bob will go on to destroy more leads and I suspect Lawrence's patiences as well.

This shifter story has some really different elements. We have a shifter who is unable to tell that he is in the presence of his mate. We have shifter packs with really different belief systems. And we have the ability of special males to give birth. All of these different elements roll into one drama filled story as two men have to overcome a lot of ingrained feelings to get their relationship on track.

Review: Crystal's Calamity

Crystal's Calamity Crystal's Calamity by Stevie MacFarlane
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A new gem has arrived for the Red Petticoat series and Crystal comes with a whole lot of baggage. She's determined on finding justice and stubborn enough to do it all by herself. Jasper is well to do and seems to enjoy his gambler life. But this new gem is throwing him off his game as the little spitfire keeps throwing him for a loop.

We get to see that despite it all Crystal is loyal and is truly a kind and generous person who isn't going to take things out on the wrong person. But she is determined to do things her way and keeping her mouth shut about what she's up to.

But justice will be served and there are plenty of surprises for everyone in store. This was so much fin to read as you watched both characters jump to conclusions, dig in their heels, and figure out the best way to move ahead.
