Review: Big Love

Big Love Big Love by Rick R. Reed
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This story really has three main characters, two that end up together and one who in his own way helps bring them together.

While not part of the romance itself, Truman and his own problems really draws you to him as a character and it is trying to help him that not only is a relationship formed but that Dane himself hears things he needs to know about life and his own place.

Dane has had the worst year and in all that he is dealing with he is also dealing with his own internal dialog about how to move forward. Then Seth catches his eye and he has to think even more about himself but then a crisis point really moves things forward in unexpected ways.

Loved watching these lives move together and forward. A great story of how grief can lead you to face some truths and that bad things can lead to good.

Review: A Heart for Robbie

A Heart for Robbie A Heart for Robbie by J.P. Barnaby
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Make sure you start this story with a handy box of tissues. From the beginning you are drawn to Julian and his son Robbie who is just as much of a character in this story as his dad. This man is facing about the worst thing a parent has to face.

Simon is a special person and is willing to lay it all on the line to find what he needs in life. It would appear at first that he is a bit of coward in some ways but as the story unfolds you see his strength and when it comes to the crunch time he steps up to the plate and takes his stand no matter what it costs.

There a few people in this book that I was ready to give a punch too. It is so sad that these people can still have the power to hurt good people with their hate and bias. And it is wonderful when good triumphs.

Review: The Isle of... Where?

The Isle of... Where? The Isle of... Where? by Sue Brown
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Liam is such a special person and was a perfect friend to Alex. And it has to be so hard to do this final thing for his friend. You can feel his pain and need. Sam just happens to be "stalking" at the right time to give aid to LIam.

From that moment on they share a special adventure that includes a whole bunch of other special people that add to Liam's life. And the grief shared makes it easier to handle.

Review: Game On

Game On Game On by Olley White
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was such a fun story. Two online friends finally meet up and they are both surprised. One thinking he will meet a potential girlfriend and the other hoping for a new girl BFF. Neither one gets exactly what they are looking for but each ends up with something very near to it. I love that a little humiliation really helps to move things along.

Review: Mashing

Mashing Mashing by Sean Michael
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Damon and Toby have more danger to face and deal with but we are seeing them become a stronger couple as they move forward. They are able to read each other so much better. We also get to see Christian and Peter getting closer to each other.

It was also nice to see how the four of them relating to each other as friends.

Another great installment in their ongoing story.
