Review: Office Hours

Office Hours
Office Hours by Sean Michael

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Despite Thad's fears he takes a chance and it was great to see him have a chance at a wonderful relationship with someone who can truly appreciate him. I love it when characters have had a hard past and get the chance of better times.

Review: Waiting For You

Waiting For You
Waiting For You by K.C. Wells

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Despite what appears to be a dark beginning this turns out to be a sweet romance. Two men who haven't seen each other in years has each left his mark on the other in ways neither one of the could predict. It was great to see them take the chance and move to reconnect and move on no matter what Mike has done in the past.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Here is a man who has overcome so much and even though his life isn't perfect he his proud of what he's accomplished but then things seem to be shattered.

This story is an interesting look at how online friendships can have an impact in the real world and takes a look at what can go wrong and what can go right. It also explores how real does someone have to be to gain your trust and what happens when the trust is shattered.

Orion's New Leash on Life
Orion's New Leash on Life by C. Callenreese

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Just when it seems that Orion is at the end of everything and not sure of way out he is given a very kinky gift for the weekend. Somehow this provides the turning point so that everything comes out better for everyone just from taking the chance.

Review: Chemistry of Attraction

Chemistry of Attraction
Chemistry of Attraction by Thianna D.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So excited about the new season of Corbin's Bend that I preordered the whole set. This is the first book for season 2 and it proves to be just as much fun as the the first season.

This time we get to meet a couple who are more attracted but each other's mind than their bodies. Although, they don't mind those either. It was great to see a strong couple explore their new relationship and yet continue to let their own personalities shine through.

It was fun to see the community through Dina's eyes as she moves from visitor to resident and comes to appreciate what is so special and unique about her new home.

Review: A Natural Born Submissive

A Natural Born Submissive
A Natural Born Submissive by Victoria Winters

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Alice is a strong woman who use the idea of getting a story to take a small step toward a secret interest. We quickly see that she is being drawn into what is offered.

I loved the fact that this is a more mature heroine who is still learning to accept herself. We see her thinking evolve as she realizes that sometimes you can't settle just for the sake of comfort. She is brave enough to go after what she not only wants but what she also deserves.

Review: A Clean Sweep

A Clean Sweep
A Clean Sweep by Tymber Dalton

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have loved every book in this series because each one brings something unique to the table. This one has our main character dealing with internal struggles instead of outside forces. Essie but comes to terms with both her anger and her grief over the death of her hording father. Until she can make peace with her past she can't move forward and her fear almost costs her the happiness she deserves. But when she really accepts it all she gets to move forward in her own special way. I love men who don't give up easy and a friend who knows her better than herself. I also liked seeing how her mom makes her own peace and begins to map out her own life in her new freedom. Both woman are strong and are blessed to have made such a great and support group of friends.

Between the Shadow and the Soul
Between the Shadow and the Soul by Jamie Craig

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

So usually ghosts aren't my normal go to but I got this book as part of a bundle and I decided this was the perfect time of the year to read this book. This was a great blend of mystery, ghosts, and new romance.

Review: Two Guardians For Little May

Two Guardians For Little May
Two Guardians For Little May by Breanna Hayse

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This story like others by Breanna Hayse has both an emotional as well as a physical connection between the characters. It was great to see everyone get what they both needed and deserved. And I love "Texas Justice" as it plays out in this story. Hope we get to see what happens both at the girl's home and the new community.

Review: The Author's Friends

The Author's Friends
The Author's Friends by Shelly Douglas

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

We still get to spend time with Dana and Richard but this time we get to focus on Dana's friends Carla and Michael. We also get glimpse of Dana's new book interspersed through the story.

I really loved the main focus of Carla and Michael and the way they have so much to work through in their relationship not just with each other but also with their family. For me I found the book glimpse to get in the way of the story just and bit and that is what lowered my rating from to 4 instead of 5.

Review: Quiddity Flight

Quiddity Flight
Quiddity Flight by A.J. Llewellyn

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Quiddity's life seems to be falling apart and getting really weird all at once. He also gets to start a new job and ends up sleeping with the suspect. Loved seeing how everything seems to get unraveled with no help from Quiddity himself.

Review: Project Snowflake

Project Snowflake
Project Snowflake by Heidi Champa

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A story that seems to reflect a lost opportunity between Brenton and Spencer. One feeling he has said too much and one realizing he hasn't said enough. It was glad for the epilogue but wished it had a bit more detail.

Dreams To Sell

Losing Sight of the Target
Losing Sight of the Target by T.A. Chase

Justin is very strong and is facing his reality. No matter how hard it is I was so glad to see him get his moment. Caesar seems at a cross roads. I would really like to think he makes a career change.

Review: Breaking Abigail

Breaking Abigail
Breaking Abigail by Emily Tilton

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Very, very intense story. It takes an interesting and erotic look at consensual vs non-consent. I love how it works out for Abigail but in ways that turned out to be unexpected. A very interesting way to exam the idea of what we fear the most might also be what we truly need.

Review: Protecting Isabelle

Protecting Isabelle
Protecting Isabelle by Arabella Kingsley

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This one is between 3.5 and 4. This story is about a young woman caught up in mob family. There seems to be not one but two strong men who are willing to take her in hand and keep her safe. It is a good story that draws you in. But at some points it feels like too many different things are going on at once. But it is hot and the ending is sweet.

Review: Somebody's Angel

Somebody's Angel
Somebody's Angel by Kallypso Masters

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love the way this story overlaps the previous story without a big rehash. It was different because the Dom is the one needing to deal with his past. Very intense, moving, beautiful. Don't want to give a bit of it away.

Review: Unearthing Cole

Unearthing Cole
Unearthing Cole by A.M. Arthur

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The story opens with Cole both literally and figuratively buried. Jeremy is looking to see what he can use for his business but he also wants to help.

It was interesting to see the build in the relationship that while it was quick it also digs deep. Cole has to dig himself out but Jeremy gives him the courage to undo what is happening and to face up to his past.
