Ryder and Megan - If you haven't read the rest of the series you can read this one on it's own but it's a great addition if you have read the series. Ryder is hurting but a mission to protect bring him purpose. It also bring him Megan who is perfectly suited to meet all of his needs. We get to see all the different sides of these characters both their weaknesses and their strengths. Loved seeing them bring out the best in each other.
