Review: Lady Strumpet
Lady Strumpet by Gia Dawn
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I loved Wynn and Jane's story. Here are two people outcasts in their society and they way they meet each others needs is so special. Of course they make several mis-steps on the road to getting the romance right. Great addition to the Dunmore series.

Review: Home on the Range
Home on the Range by Melinda Barron
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
At first I was thinking this story was taking the whole spanking thing to extreme because while it was consensual there was some coercion involved. But when you realize that her uncle that helped to raise her and loves her is part of setting this up because he's very worried about her choices are effecting her life and making her unhappy it changes the feeling about the whole story. You watch Peyton examine her feelings about spanking and its role in having a happy life change through out the story and as a reader your own ideas also are given fresh ways to think about it as well.

Review: The Training of Margaret Sullivan
The Training of Margaret Sullivan by Scarlett Nighte
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This is a story of revenge that takes a strange twist. This one is really a bit extreme and is not for the faint of heart.

Review: Don't Read in the Closet: Volume Two
Don't Read in the Closet: Volume Two by Blaine D. Arden
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I really loved the mix of stories in this volume. It has a little bit of everything and while I enjoyed the first volume I think this volume does a better job of mixing up the types of stories presented. Also, I loved the mix of very short tales and some that were longer stories. I forgot to make note of the name but my favorite was one of the longer story of a boy's search for the truth of his grandma's attitude. There were a few I didn't enjoy as well or that I skipped but that had to do with just not really liking that particular story type and not the writing at all. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Review: Cross Country Chaos
Cross Country Chaos by Lesli Richardson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Kelly and Mart's story was really a very beautiful story. Mart reminds a lot of my husband and his love and attitude toward my son when we started dating and got married. He is a man who is not afraid of being a dad. Everyone is overcoming and raising to the challenge. On top of that the surprise twists that the story took really reached the heart. A wonderful read that you will need to bring the tissues to.

Review: French Quarter
French Quarter by Lacey Alexander
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
The story of Liz and Jack is full of hot sex. The love is almost unexpected and very sweet. A big strong guy who's watching you back is always a good thing. I love a story with lots of great erotic sex but sometimes in this story I felt almost overwhelmed by it and thought that maybe it got in the way of the actually story. If I wasn't so behind on my reading list I would consider reading more in this series.

Review: Cowboy Love
Cowboy Love by OTK Romance
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Actually a 4.5. This story was not what I was expecting because I was expected a book of short stories like many of the other OTK books I had. This was one story of a couple struggle to overcome past hursts and to build a new life together. It turned out to be a great story.

Review: The Mistress' House
The Mistress' House by Leigh Michaels
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Not sure what I was expecting with this story but it was really a great story that is really three stories in one. Three different couples are brought together in unconventional ways through the magic of the house around the corner.

Blushing Cheeks - Volume One by Carolyn Faulkner

Review: Thornton's Hope
Thornton's Hope by Carolyn Faulkner
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I loved AJ and Hope's story. A misunderstanding leads to a break up and a tragedy bring them back together. They are both so stubborn and have a lot to overcome but sometimes stubborn love is the best and it takes a strong woman to let things go and accept a strong love.

Review: The Serving Girl
The Serving Girl by Fiona Wilde
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
The story of Claire starts out somewhat severe and you also think it will head in a different direction at the beginning but the story quickly turns bittersweet as young Claire is given the charge of the Lady of the house who is dying. The beautiful happily ever after makes it a very worthy read.

Review: Lies and Consequences
Lies and Consequences by Kaje Harper
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Very interesting combination of elements make this a great story. You have pretending to be someone else, chance meetings, don't ask-don't tell, best friends, strange families, stalkers, the feds, and the mob. All that and a HEA, too. How can you not be on the edge of your seat.

Review: Extreme Bull
Extreme Bull by Catt Ford

Clay and Jeff are an interesting couple. Here are two guys who haven't thought about another guy but they just connect. It was interesting to see their journey to each other.

Review: Finding Forever
Finding Forever by Lori C. Hawkins
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Alec and Peter's story was a fun read. It was nice to see character build slowly to a relationship and not just rush to the bedroom on the first meeting. It was also interesting to see how they dealt with those family issues.

Review: Falling
Falling by M.L. Rhodes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This one really surprised me. I had picked it up simply because I wanted to challenge myself by reading the four picks on the M/M Romance Group so I hadn't really read the description. When I started and realized it was a magic/demon type story I almost quit reading. Generally, I find this type of story disturbing. But the developing relationship and strong emotions between Alex and Christian drew me into the story and kept me reading. This is an intense story but the love was so powerful and so special. I'm glad I didn't give up on this one.

Review: Calvin's Cowboy
Calvin's Cowboy by Drew Hunt
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I just loved the story of Calvin and his Cowboy Brock. It was a sweet love story and shows just what can happen when you are able to put past hurts and misunderstandings behind you. Love Junior and how mature he seemed to be. It seems that Brock made sure to avoid the same mistakes his father had made raising him. But the sequel on my wish list.

Review: Seducing the Sheik
Seducing the Sheik by Carol Lynne
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Another great offering in the Bodyguard series. It was fun to go from the wilds of Alaska to the middle east and back again. The strong feelings between Ali and Gaven were wonderful. All that and and an exploding dumb waiter, too.

Review: The Twelve Days of Randy
The Twelve Days of Randy by Heidi Cullinan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Great short read. It was fun to have a Christmas visit with some old friends. Crabtree is up to old tricks where you are never sure what he's really up too. I really enjoyed the story.

Review: Beauty Touched the Beast
Beauty Touched the Beast by Skye Warren
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
The story of Erin and Blake is a quick read but full of emotion. They each care for each other but neither is willing to take a risk to end the friendship or to seem like the are taking advantage. But once they got together the sparks fly.

Review: The Seeking Kiss
The Seeking Kiss by Eden Bradley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I was really surprised by this book. I picked it up when it was free offering. Since it was not really a genre I'm interested in. Vampires usually don't do much for me and stores of "post-apocalyptic" stores usually give me the willies. But I kept an open mind and decided to give it a try. And from the beginning I was drawn into the story of Nissa and her quest. Both Hex and Aleron were so hot. The mix of old and new world was so interesting. The intensity of feelings were powerful.

Review: Snowy & the Seven Wharves
Snowy & the Seven Wharves by Patricia Green
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Snowy and Doc is a fun quick read. You know that when you start the story and a top chef is stuck waiting tables in a witness protection program things just aren't going well. Love looking for the the reference to the drawfs' names and keeping track of the seven wharves.

Review: Mia's Cop Craving
Mia's Cop Craving by Malia Mallory
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This story is short but well written. It was lacking in a relationship between the characters but you were left with the impression that a relationship could be forming.

Review: An Unruly Tongue
An Unruly Tongue by Joannie Kay
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Really more a 3.5
This is the story of Caleb and Hester. I found some of the punishment to be to the extreme and sometimes it was really hard to feel the love or connection between the pair. But when you put the story into the context of the time period then the harshness seems more appropriate.

Review: Beneath the Neon Moon
Beneath the Neon Moon by Theda Black
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
As the story opens Mal and Zach are chained together. It is clear that something sinister is about to happen. It seems that nothing good can come from this. A stark lesson in the power of love. Can't wait to hear more from these two.

Review: South Beach Submissive
South Beach Submissive by Jennifer Dunne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Alexandra/Sashia/Sassy D thinks she going on a simple job assignment but it turns out to be anything but simple. Michael rocks her world and changes her life. Sometimes chemistry just takes over.

Favorite Kid's Show
"What was one of your favorite television shows as a kid and why?"
My childhood home was different from most of my friends due to the factor that our TV was on almost all the time. My mother loved to have the TV and it came on first thing in the morning and stayed on until the broadcast day ended. Yes, kids there was a time when TV was not 24 hours. We also only had ABC, NBC, CBS, and a local PBS station. I remember the excitement when we got our first independent TV station. Ironically, it was the start of this station that would lead to my husband and his family moving to Florida and of course later us meeting up and getting married.
I don't exactly remember but I know when I was little Captain Kangaroo and Romper Room were two of my favorites. I also watched Mr. Rodger's Neighborhood. Sesame Street didn't come out until later. A little bigger and I watched Electric Company.
My favorite stuff, that I really remember, was during my middle school and high school years and were the shows shown on the local independent station. The first three that jumped into my mind as shows I regularly watched were Star Trek, Hogan's Heroes, and Big Valley. I'm not sure why those three were the ones to appeal to me but it certainly shows my eclectic taste even then. Now what I do find interesting is when I look at my favorite characters in this show they aren't necessary the main stars. In Star Trek I liked Ensign Chekhov. He was not a pretty boy, was somewhat more edgy, and who doesn't love an accent. In Hogan's Heroes, I did like Colonial Hogan and I'm not sure why. In Big Valley my hands down favorite was Nick Barkley. The strong, stubborn, roughed, and rough brother. He was very alpha (before I knew what that was mind you) and while he would do what ever he could to stop an enemy, he was very loyal and caring about people he considered friends or family. And hey he was a cowboy too.
Of course in old films I also loved Humphrey Bogart and Hans Solo was my favorite Stars War character so I should have seen my love of strong alpha male characters coming.

Review: Chains and Chocolate
Chains and Chocolate by Bonnie Bliss

This was a sweet story of a couple who have found what works for them and have fun embracing it. This was a quick read and I look forward to more stories of Neil and his Kitten Marie.

Review: The Ultimate Kink
The Ultimate Kink by Cameron Dane
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
It was fun to see Canin and Kasey get their time to get together with the help from their friends. There were some strong emotions that were brought out in this story and while there was a crime to solve it really seemed to be the backdrop for the relationships and the healing that take place. Enjoyed this installment in the Quinn series.

Review: Bartering Innocence
Bartering Innocence by Dort Wesley
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Rescue does not come without strings and it can take strength to admit when you make a mistake. John comes to Susie's rescue but it takes a while for her to learn to appreciate the change in her life. She has been treated poorly first by her father and then by her first husband so one can understand her hesitation to trust. While there was plenty of romance in the story the fact that I found some of the punishment sessions a bit over the top kept the rating at 3.0.
