Richard dies and asks his friend Andrew to care for his deaf brother. Andrew already knows sign language so it wasn't complete without reason. But Andrew soon realizes that Brett could be more than a ward. Andrew is careful to do the right thing but it leads to some problems. It takes a lot to work things out.
