Pushing the Envelope by Kim Dare
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I love how this story brings two people together. The letter gives Scott the courage to live out some of his fantasy with Joe. Then the letters continue to help them communicate when they can't find the words. I love how all of these were pulled together into one book. This was so much fun to read and even more emotion that I had expected at first.

Review: A Matchless Man
A Matchless Man by Ariel Tachna
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Navashen has worked hard to be successful in his life and work. He is now back in his home town and is willing to take on the care of his brother to help him have the best life possible. But he is also ready to be out and to find a life for himself as well.
Brent is an old classmate but is willing to do his best to help put his old friend. I love how Brent wants to help Navashen be comfortable with himself. It was also humorous to see this two men dance around each other. Brent trying to be helpful in setting up dates and Navashen not doing anything to make things work.

Review: Little Lizzie's Reform
Little Lizzie's Reform by Allison West
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This story was a 3.5 overall. For me the story started out a bit slowly as we watched Elizabeth make a foolish choice that leads to her meeting Thomas Montgomery. He feels a connection to her but still arranges for her to go to the school. But when she gives the school the slip Thomas is smart enough to work things around to his own advantage.
I think the real turning point is the story is what happens when Elizabeth has a true chance to think about her old life and her new life as Little Lizzie. It helps her to finally settle on her decisions.
I really loved how much Thomas seemed to care but there was some of the interaction with the nanny that made me wonder if the best was being done for little Lizzie. As the relationship develops between Thomas and as time goes on with the nanny I felt like a happy and wonderful life for all involved.

Review: Sunny's Safe Haven
Sunny's Safe Haven by Vanessa Brooks
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This story seems to be full of upset and different crisises. Despite the dramatic opening to the story there is a feeling of strong connection between Stephanie and Tey. He is willing to change his whole set of life goals to now include settling down. Stephanie despite all the hardship she has recently faced is not willing to just sit back and let life happen to her. She is willing to work toward her own future.
This story has some unexpected twists and times when things seemed to go one way then back another. It takes a bit of working out between them and some more dramatic events but in the end there is love and a completely new life.

Review: Topaz's Trials
Topaz's Trials by Kate Richards
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Another unique story to add to this great Red Petticoat collection.
This story is unique as much of the story takes place as Topaz the former Marie Therese O'Sullivan recalls what brought her to the Saloon in the first place. It also lets her tell the people she cares about why no matter what there is a sadness in her soul that won't go away.
She endures so much on her journey and the reflections let feel the full range of her emotions from coping, to happiness, to love, to fear, and to dispare.
Dirk is a strong man with strong ideas but he is smart enough to realize that truth, love, and not knowing are enough to get over anything that will keep him from grabbing love with both hands.

Review: Forever Home
Forever Home by Rory Wilde
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Jack has opened his heart to a daughter and then a puppy. Tyson has been giving his heart to the animals he cares for.
It is beautiful to see how the each help the other both in caring for a puppy, caring for the shelter, and caring for each other.
I love how Tyson was able to become a part of the family.

Review: Assigned a Daddy
Assigned a Daddy by Emily Tilton
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I really debated the rating between the 3 I gave it and a 4. I really like the story idea. A young lady with lots of issues who needs to grow up and be more responsible in her life. A strong man that is prepared to do the work necessary to help her grow.
There were lots of hot scenes and a lot of hinting at other things. But I felt like the overall story of their romance fell a little flat. We see training but somehow we end up at the end with them together but I didn't feel the building love. Also, I felt like there could be a bit more interaction with the co-worker as well.
I enjoyed the story but kind of felt like I wanted more.

While this books doesn't fit with the genre I normally read it still turned out to be a very satisfying little story with strong characters who have a lot to tell.

Review: Beware Falling Rocks
Beware Falling Rocks by Tymber Dalton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This story starts out so bittersweet. Lynn has been suffering so much pain from loosing Paul. And sadly Paul has been suffering as well. There seems to be no good way for things to work out. Neither one wanted to part but Paul thought he was doing the right thing and be honorable. But suddenly everything has changed and doors can be reopened.
Paul really has so much to make up for and so much to get over himself. Lynn loves still and loves large but she is also willing to stand up for herself to both Paul and well meeting friends. She isn't willing to just let things go without making sure it goes better this time.
It was rewarding to see even when things seem hopeless sometimes love can stand the long haul and recover some of the worst.
