While this is part of the Pine Hallow world this story can stand alone. Throughout the series we've gotten of Evangeline's strength and sass. Yet you have been able to sense that there is more to Evangeline than meets the surface and there is something behind the surface. In The Wolf's Gift we finally have the chance to get below the surface and find out exactly what she's been holding on to. She also has the chance to take the lead, kick a**, and take names. This story was so much fun to ready and it was great to see how this complicated mess seems to be getting straightened out.
